School is Out for the Summer!
Enjoy your summer! The school office will be open on Monday - Thursday during the summer. Students will return to school, Tuesday, September 6th. If you are new to the area and need to register your child for school, please visit our school office on Monday - Thursday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Click here for more information about registering your child for school. Please, register your child before August 31st.
PTA Open House - September 1
We hope you will be able to join us for our annual Grades K-5 Open House on Thursday, September 1st from 3:00-4:00 p.m. OR 5:00-6:00 p.m. Please feel free to CHOOSE ONE of the sessions to attend with your child. Open House will start promptly at 3:00 p.m. for the first session and 5:00 p.m. for the second session. In order to maximize time in the classroom please report directly to the classrooms at the assigned start time. You and your child will have time to visit the classroom, meet the teacher, and greet classmates. We will have a televised welcome from administration and the PTA president. Students will then transition to an assigned specialist area and teachers will provide an overview of the school year with parents. Please consider arriving early, car-pooling, or walking for Open House due to very limited parking.
First Day of School - September 6
The school day begins at 8:40 a.m. and ends at 3:10 p.m. *Breakfast is offered each morning for $1.40 ($.30 for reduced) and lunch is $2.75 ($.40 for reduced).
PTA Family Picnic - September 15
If you are unable to join us for Open House on September 1st, please consider joining us on September 15th for the PTA Family Picnic from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. Please feel free to stop by when your schedule allows during the two hours of the Family Picnic in the Alanton Elementary School gymnasium and playground area.
Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students)
